Glassblown floral forms inspired by the sea
2025
“Ocean Flowers” is more than a collection, it is a living journey into the world of glassblowing, exploration, and growth. By patiently shaping and free-hand blowing glass, I breathe life into surreal flowers that seem to inhale and exhale a hidden energy. These gentle, fluid forms emerge from my hands as though they were sculpted by water itself, their curves and translucence reflect an inner dialogue with the sea, my dreams, and the majestic Norwegian fjords. Inspired by the deep hues of the ocean, tiny sea creatures and shoreline plants, the ever-shifting light over fjord waters, and the mystery of underwater landscapes, I strive to create a sense of organic, dreamlike life. Each “flower” becomes a small living being - fragile, yet full of motion and presence. Through this ongoing project I explore the balance between control and spontaneity, celebrating the poetry of nature transformed by fire and glass.
