Liturgical glassware with golden calligraphy
2025
“Glass for Neratov” (Sklo pro Neratov) began as my diploma project, designed so I could explore every perspective that interested me. The task was to design an entire collection of liturgical glassware made of borosilicate glass. On the glass surfaces there are delicate golden calligraphic lines carrying important words and messages: love, hope, respect…because words are the tools of a priest, and a single word can change a human life. Thanks to borosilicate, the objects are light yet sturdy, complemented by brass details. The collection includes a chalice, ciborium, cruets, a lavabo, and a paten. I collaborated with Detesk a.s. from Železný Brod, raised 122,000 CZK on Donio to fund production and support a local protected village, and worked with Tomski&Polanski on bespoke graphics of a church tailored to the project.
